| It has come to my attention that you will experience a PPD decrease if you run the 200 series GPUs with this client. Current findings say between 20% to 35% decrease has been noted.
before running this client on your older series GPUs please take this into consideration.

EG Just to clarify for ya EG... This only effects non-FERMI based gpus... Anything prior to the GTX400 (fermi) series GPU do in fact suffer a small PPD decrease.

| Yep you are correct anything but fermi GPUs take a hit.
So if you have 5 GTX 260s folding and you loose 20% across each GPUs PPD thats just like loosing a GPU.
For max PPD output its recommended the 200 series and previous versions revert back to the GPU2 client. Across a system like mine thats a serious hit in PPD production.

| I did'nt realize this, I have been folding with GPU3 client on: - 3 GTX285 - 4 8800GTS 512 sc - 1 9800GT ssc
So I am probably losing quite a bit of PPD?
I have to identical systems running 2 8800GTs each. I will fold 1 with GPU2, then the other with GPU3 and compare on fahmon.
is there a better monitor then fahmon.exe?

| Just wanted to confirm that this is true. I think I will start using the GPU2 client on all my Rigs. as I do not own any fermi cards. lines 1 and 2 are GPU3 client - on PC1 lines 3 and 4 are GPU2 client - on PC2 running 2 identical systems with 2 8800gts 512s | |

| You are correct that no longer holds true.
When GPU3 client was first released there was only a single WU, now they have several different ones.
My 470's got some WUs earlier that FAHMON has no clue what they are everything shows up as question marks.

| I'm not sure if there is a difference, but I did get another 9800GT running. this is with GPU2 on all machines. I guess its ok to fold leftover WUs from the other client ????? | |
